Manages and trains the Human Resources Team while serving as a consultant to internal and external Legal Partners. Provides recommendations on escalated employee and guest issues and ensures state, federal, and company compliance and handle benefit administration.
Provides guidance and assistance to Human Resources Representatives on escalated employee and guest relations issues.
Acts as a consultant for the Corporate Leadership team and Senior Operations team on employee relations issues and performance management with WHQ employees and senior store management.
Creates ongoing educational communication for General Managers and Regional Operations Directors to ensure state and federal employment compliance.
Works with the Legal Department and external employment attorneys on state and federal charges and lawsuits.
Supports the Director of Human Resources in health and benefit initiatives.
Works directly with Benefits administrator and carriers to resolve escalated benefit issues.
Oversees the development and facilitation of employee and guest relations training for Corporate Managers, General Managers, Regional Conferences, and Managers in Training.
Prepares and communicates monthly ServSafe Alcohol compliance audit.
Works with HRIS to develop, communicate, execute, deliver results, and form action plans on the Employee Engagement Survey for both Corporate and Operations employees.
Manages employment and other vendors which include employment verification, unemployment, relocation, responsible alcohol service, I-9, and translation.
Project work as assigned.
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with HR coursework preferred; AND five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Individual must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to exercise good judgment in decision-making. Strong sense of follow-up. Able to multi-task and prioritize. Hold self accountable for high personal and professional standards of conduct. Must be teamwork oriented.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to motivate and lead a team while openly communicating to individuals at all levels within the organization. Able to strategically assign work duties based on an individual’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Comprehensive understanding of the Microsoft Suite.
