What is a regional sales manager?

Our Regional Sales Managers are responsible for driving all aspects of salesmanship for sales team members in designated regions across the country. Our ideal team member will work with our Operations and Special Event sales teams to drive sales and make an impact locally and nationally. To hit the ground running you'll need leadership and motivational skills, the ability to successfully coach and manage on sales techniques, local store marketing skills, networking skills, great multi-tasking abilities, and the drive to succeed!

Essential duties and responsibilities
Sales Coaching
- Motivate team(s) to meet and exceed budgeted sales targets through coaching and sales strategy
- Identify sales strategies that will directly drive incremental sales and or volume and coach accordingly
- Assist stores in identifying key market segments and define prospecting plans around them
- Identify store-specific areas of opportunity in the sales process and coach accordingly to increase sales
- Monitor market trends and coach accordingly to increase sales
- Serve as liaison for opportunities and communications between Special Events, Operations, and WHQ

Performance management
- Review sales performance, corporate inquiry conversion, and QEST progress with assigned stores weekly and coach accordingly
- Lead assigned stores in the development of their quarterly marketing plans including plans for prospecting, improved salesmanship, and rebooking and coach on strategies and approach as needed
- Provide sales assistance to assigned store(s) in the event of staffing vacancies

Team Development
- Evaluate and analyze existing workflow and develop processes to increase efficiencies and maximize sales
- For New Store Openings in region, partner with Special Events lead to drive pre-opening revenue and awareness
- For New Store Openings, provide sales support, as needed, to Special Events lead one week prior to and two weeks following store opening

Communications
- Conduct opportunity calls with struggling stores’ SE and GM teams monthly
- Review results of Special Events Scorecard with assigned stores monthly
- Partner with stores’ SE and GM teams quarterly on the development of QEST

Event Sales
- Serve as main point of sales contact for national sales partners in assigned region(s)
- Visit high potential clients in each market with local sales representatives
Qualifications
- 8-12 years of successful sales management in the hospitality industry
- Strong interpersonal, people and communication skills
- Extremely organized with outstanding project management skills
- Solid analytical skills, ability to perform ROI analysis, and budget management experience
- Undergraduate degree required
- Capable of managing multiple projects/programs simultaneously
- Remains calm under pressure
- Highly creative with strong drive and energy
